I have been blessed to own many talented horses over my lifetime. I am lucky to have another up and coming star in my barn - her name is Erithe KGH. She is a 2008 Hanoverian filly by Earl (Escundo I) out of Duferre (Dominator). I found her when I went to Canada and was riding with Walter Zettl at Knightsgate Hanoverians in Welland, Ontario. I was camping on the grounds of the farm and had time to spend walking around the farm visiting the pastures of beautiful horses while there. I kept finding myself drawn to the pasture with the yearlings and two year olds. There were about seven babies together and Erithe kept walking over to the fence to say hello. What a friendly baby she was! Everytime I approached the fence, she came over and wanted to be petted. That was the major selling point for me for sure!  I negociated for six months with the breeders and in December of 2010 she arrived at our farm. She had never been in a stall so the first few months were a challenge trying to teach her that this was her space. She didn't like other horses standing outside her stall and didn't like next door neighbors. Funny girl she was for sure! She did, however, like Hayden, so he became her next door neighbor as well as pasture mate. Teaching her to lead in and out was a project, as was taking the halter on and off. But eventually she understood and allowed us to "tame her."

I have been a blogger before - wrote a week long blog for the Chronicle of the Horse about my experience riding with Walter Zettl in June 2010 in Canada.  It was such a wonderful learning experience and I was lucky enough to become good friends with Heir Zettl and Leslie and Dave Bockus who owned the farm where I stayed for the clinic.

I have so many great ideas to put in my blog I don't know where to start - my upcoming trip to Florida, backing my coming 4 year old filly Erithe, riding revolations. my experience as an equine sales representative, life as a boarding farm owner - there are just too many things whirling around inside my head!
